Baby Zutronite Competition Results for Mme Younis

Congratulations to all of the groups on a job well done!
After a long and thoughtful process I have decided on the winner.
The judgement was based on the amount of materials used, the weight of the device, the speed at which it fell, the amount of repairs that needed to be done between drops and the landing style.
The Baby Zutronite Competition winners are:

1st Place: Team Lightning

2nd Place: Egglory

3rd Place: The Multicolored

4th Place: G.I.A. (Girls In Action)

5th Place: The Group Without A Name

Great job to all!
The citizens of Planet Zutron thank you.

Class Questions

Hello everyone

Here is a post where you can ask your teacher, Mr.Sorrenti, anything that is school related. It can be something we learned in class, an assignment that is for homework, an upcoming test or anything else that you may have on your mind that we talked about in class.

*Remember: in case you want to ask a question but don't want to leave your name, you can always choose the "anonymous" title from the drop down menu.

How Many Faces?

How many faces can you see? Seven is good, but if you can see 10 you are doing better.

Brain Teaser

Harry, the happy hippo, happily hopped from the hippo hospital. How many h's are in this sentence?

What's Your Type?

Ever wonder how fast you can type? Want to improve your typing skills? As we get older more and more assignments are going to be completed on our computers. When you can do it well, touch typing is the fastest way to write. Many people can soon learn to touch type faster than they can write with a pen. So, wouldn't homework be so much easier for us in the future if we all started to practice our typing skills now? Start by learning how to type properly here. It’s a fun game that teaches us the important things about typing like where to rest your fingers and which keys are for what fingers.  See if you can make it to Level 4, Stage 12.
Some tips to remeber:
  • Use the correct fingers
  • There's no need to rush!
  • Always rest your wrists on the desk
  • You should take a rest, and shake your hands and arms to relax your muscles if you get tired
  • It's important not to look at your hands when you are learning to type. The best way to ensure that you don't look at your hands is to cover them up - you can make a simple box out of cardboard or just place a towel over them.

Up for a challenge?  Start building your typing skills with a typing test.  See how many words you can type in a set amount of minutes. If you find that it's not your cup of tea, try out these typing games, they're challenging and fun!

Character Count

This months Character Count Assembly is "Courage".
What do you think about when you hear that word?
What makes people courageous?
Does someone have to be an actual hero like we see in popular films or can they be just ordinary everyday people?

What have you done that makes you a hero or heroine?
